Powering your tools at the job site can be a challenge for many builders. With battery powered tools, it’s usually as simple as making sure that your tools are charged before you leave for the site, and that you are smart about bringing extra batteries. Electrical power tools can be more difficult, especially if the power outlets at the site are not working yet. Some contractors add portable electric generators to their trucks in order to have dependable power anywhere as long as you remember to keep the tank on your generator full and do some preventative maintenance every once in a while. Once you do install a generator, you will find that everyone else will be begging to plug their tools in for convenience too!
