Extending Your Above Ground Swimming Pool Season

You have your above ground swimming pool oasis set up and you’re ready to go swimming. But it’s late September and it’s just not warm enough to be comfortable going swimming when you get home. The pool’s too cold! You’ve got a pool heater, but it’s expensive to run. This is where a solar pool cover comes in handy.

If it’s cold but sunny where you are, a solar pool cover might be just the ticket to allow you to lower the cost of your heater and still be able to swim later in the season. It has the potential to raise the water temperature from 10-15 degrees, depending on the amount of sunlight you get during the day. And who wouldn’t want to be able to swim a little later in the year!
